A disgusting retching and vomiting sound effect from the poisoned candy scene in Trick 'r Treat, used for gross-out jokes and reaction videos.

This is a wet, drawn-out vomiting effect with gagging, retching and splattering that sounds painfully realistic. The audio builds from choking coughs into full, gurgling heaves, making the sickness feel immediate and hard to ignore. It lands as pure gross-out comedy or horror, depending on the scene around it, and viewers tend to recoil, laugh or look away. Because it is so graphic in sound alone, creators use it when a character eats something bad, sees something disgusting, or reacts with exaggerated nausea that a simple gag noise would not sell.

The clip comes from Trick 'r Treat, the 2007 Halloween horror anthology film, in its story about a school principal who hands out poisoned candy. The child who eats it becomes violently sick, and that extended vomiting became the part most often lifted as a standalone sound. Shared on soundboards and in meme edits, it outlived the scene as a go-to effect for nausea, bad food and extreme disgust, especially around Halloween, and it remains popular because few stock vomit sounds sound this long and realistic.
