This Radio Globo jingle announces Domingo Futebol, the Sunday football broadcast from Brazil, and fans use it to hype matches, celebrate goals and intro edits.

This is a brief, energetic broadcast jingle announcing Sunday football on Radio Globo, built around a shouted Globo Domingo Futebol call. The voice is loud, celebratory and instantly recognisable to Brazilian football fans, with the rhythm of a radio station ident designed to build excitement before kickoff. At just a few seconds long, it works like a sonic kickoff whistle, signalling that the big match is starting. It creates immediate anticipation and nostalgia for listening to games on the radio, even when it is dropped into a modern short video or meme edit out of context.

Radio Globo is a long running Brazilian radio network famous for live football coverage, and Domingo Futebol refers to its Sunday football programming, with domingo meaning Sunday in Portuguese. Short station jingles like this were played to open broadcasts before matches, separating commentary from crowd cheering and adverts. Clips were later ripped and shared on soundboards by fans, where the shout became a reusable hype cue beyond Brazil. It remains popular because Sunday is the main matchday and the phrase instantly sets a football mood.
