Boris scream sound effect from the Vyond Caillou grounded videos, a short panicked yell used in memes and edits when a character gets caught or punished.

This is a short, frantic yell from Boris, the stern father in the Vyond Caillou videos, usually heard at the moment a grounding punishment lands. The voice rises quickly into a repeated, almost cartoonish 'oh' sound, sharp and panicked rather than deep or menacing, which is part of why it works so well out of context. Played on its own, it sounds like a grown man losing control over something small, and that contrast gives edits an instant punchline. It lands best as a sudden reaction, turning an ordinary fail, reveal or scolding into something exaggerated and funny.

Boris is the father figure in the fan-made Caillou grounded videos made with GoAnimate, later known as Vyond, where Caillou misbehaves and faces exaggerated punishments from his parents. The short scream comes from that world of loud, over-the-top parenting reactions, and it was clipped and shared on soundboards and in meme edits as the series spread online. It remains popular because the sound is instantly recognisable to viewers who grew up with those videos, and because a single panicked yell can stand in for shock, regret or getting caught.
