José Mourinho's famous 'zero tituli' line from his 2009 press conference mocking Claudio Ranieri, used for teams or rivals with no trophies.

The clip captures José Mourinho delivering the phrase zero tituli in his distinctive Portuguese-accented Italian during a tense press conference. He stretches the words with a dismissive pause, turning a simple count of trophies into a cutting put-down. The delivery is dry, confident and instantly quotable, which is why the short excerpt loops so well. Listeners recognise the mocking tone even without the original context, and the phrase now signals complete failure to win anything despite big talk or expectations.

The phrase comes from José Mourinho's time as Inter Milan manager in March 2009, when he responded to criticism from Roma coach Claudio Ranieri. Speaking Italian, Mourinho listed his own honours and contrasted them with Ranieri's record, ending with zero tituli, meaning zero titles. Italian and European football media replayed the press conference widely, and the clipped audio later spread on YouTube, TikTok and soundboards as a shorthand insult. It remains popular during title races, cup finals and transfer windows whenever a prominent team finishes a season empty handed.
