Short Panathinaikos football chant sung by fans before the new season, with its playful buzzing 'vou vou vou' hook and plane lyrics. A Greek stadium sound.

Vou Vou Vou is a short burst of Panathinaikos supporters chanting in full voice, opening with the buzzing 'bou bou bou' refrain that gives the clip its name. The voices hit in a tight, rhythmic unison, the kind of terrace singing that carries across a packed stand, before rolling into a tongue-in-cheek verse about crazy planes and making plans for the new season. The effect is pure matchday energy: rowdy, funny and fiercely loyal, like a Greek curva condensed into nine seconds of green-tinted football theatre.

The chant comes from the stands of Panathinaikos FC, the Athens football club founded in 1908 whose supporters, including the famed Gate 13 ultras, fill the Greek Super League grounds with organised singing. Fan videos of chants like this one circulate widely online, where short clips get picked up by supporters making season previews, transfer-window banter and derby memes. Rather than a commercial release, it lives in that oral football culture where lyrics mutate from terrace to terrace. It endures because the wordplay is sticky and the mood is optimistic: a fan joking that while the planes overhead are madness, he is already plotting how the new season will go.

由AI輔助生成的內容

What does 'vou vou vou' mean in the chant?

It mimics the Greek word 'βου', the buzzing sound of a bee or an engine. Fans hum it as a playful hook, which then plays off the lyric about crazy planes flying overhead.

Who sings the Vou Vou Vou chant?

It is sung by Panathinaikos FC supporters in the stands, part of the organised terrace singing tradition of the Athens club. The recording captures that raw, unison crowd voice rather than a studio performance.

When do fans use this chant?

It is a build-up anthem for the new season, so fans drop it during pre-season hype, transfer-window banter and matchday vlogs, often paired with jokes about planes carrying new signings.
