Springtrap's short murderous laugh from Five Nights at Freddy's 3, used for horror edits, jumpscare reveals and villain moments in gaming videos.

This is a brief, chilling giggle from Springtrap, the decayed animatronic antagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's 3. The laugh is low, raspy and mechanical, with a wet, rattling edge that makes it sound amused and threatening at the same time. It lasts just over a second, so it lands like a sudden taunt rather than a long performance. Played over a dark scene or a character reveal, it instantly signals danger, mockery and hidden intent, turning an ordinary moment into a horror beat that viewers recognise before they consciously process why it feels wrong.

Springtrap debuted as the main antagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's 3, released in 2015 by Scott Cawthon, as the withered remains of William Afton inside a Spring Bonnie suit. His short laugh became a recognisable audio cue among fans, clipped and reused in fan games, animations, edits and soundboards far beyond the original haunted attraction setting. Because the character returned in later entries and remains central to the series lore, the giggle still works as shorthand for the franchise's mix of decay, jump scares and a villain who enjoys the hunt.

What is the Springtrap laugh sound?

It is a short, raspy giggle performed as Springtrap's voice cue in Five Nights at Freddy's 3. The clip lasts just over a second and sounds mechanical and menacing, which is why creators use it as a quick horror taunt or reveal sting.

Who is Springtrap?

Springtrap is the decayed Spring Bonnie animatronic containing William Afton, the main antagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's 3 from 2015. His damaged suit, exposed wiring and unsettling laugh made him one of the most recognisable villains in the whole series.

How do creators use the Springtrap laugh?

Creators place it at a reveal, jumpscare or villain entrance where a long sound would slow the joke or scare down. It works best sparingly, at a clear volume over silence or quiet ambience, rather than repeated under busy dialogue or music.
