Gennaro Gattuso's 'sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit' quote is a football meme sound used to react to inconsistent teams, players and days.

The clip captures Gennaro Gattuso delivering his blunt verdict in broken English, saying sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit. His flat, resigned tone and heavy Italian accent make the line instantly recognisable, with the pause before the final word landing like a punchline. It sums up total inconsistency in a few seconds, sounding less like analysis and more like weary acceptance. Viewers use it because it says exactly what frustrated fans and players are thinking, turning a disappointing performance into something funny and oddly honest.

The phrase comes from Gennaro Gattuso, the former AC Milan midfielder, during a post-match press conference while managing in Greece with OFI Crete in 2014. Asked about his team's form, he answered in English with the now famous contrast between good and bad performances. The clip spread through football forums, YouTube edits and reaction videos because the wording was simple, quotable and universally understood. It later escaped football entirely and became a general meme for anything unreliable, from gaming form to weather, work and relationships.

What does Gattuso say in the Sometimes Good Sometimes sound?

Gennaro Gattuso says 'sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit' in the clip. The short line is his blunt summary of an inconsistent performance, delivered in English during a press conference, which is why it works perfectly as a reaction sound.

Where is the sometimes maybe good meme from?

It comes from a 2014 press conference when Gattuso was manager of Greek club OFI Crete. The former AC Milan midfielder was discussing his team's uneven form and gave the answer that later turned into a viral football meme.

How do people use the sometimes maybe good sound?

Use it as a punchline after something unpredictable, like a great play followed by a terrible mistake. Drop it at the reaction moment, keep it short and unedited, and let the final word land without extra sound effects competing with it.
