The classic New York Islanders goal horn sound effect from Nassau Coliseum, played after every home goal and used by hockey fans in edits and memes today.

This is the old New York Islanders goal horn, a long, deep blast that rings out for over ten seconds after a goal. It has that raw arena feel, slightly distorted and echoing like it is bouncing off the low ceiling at Nassau Coliseum. The tone is powerful and a little nostalgic, not as polished as modern horns. When it plays, hockey fans instantly picture the crowd jumping up, arms raised, and the goal light spinning. It turns a simple scoring clip into a full celebration moment.

The New York Islanders joined the NHL in 1972 and played at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale until 2015, where this older goal horn became part of home games. Like other NHL horns, it signaled a home goal over crowd cheering and the public address system. Clips of the Nassau era horn later spread through YouTube, hockey forums and soundboards as fans compared it to the newer horns used at Barclays Center and UBS Arena. It remains popular with longtime fans who associate it with the Coliseum atmosphere.
