The famous “It’s over 9000” anime quote from Dragon Ball Z, used in memes and edits to exaggerate power levels, numbers and wildly over-the-top reactions.

This clip is the iconic “It’s over 9000” line from Dragon Ball Z, delivered with a sharp burst of disbelief and intensity. The sound is short, loud and instantly recognizable, making any number or stat feel absurdly huge. Creators use it as a punchline when something is exaggerated beyond reason, whether that is views, damage, speed or pure chaos. Even without visuals, the dramatic shout signals that a situation has crossed into meme territory and helps turn a simple reveal into a bigger comedic moment.

“It’s over 9000” comes from the English dub of Dragon Ball Z and became one of the internet’s most enduring anime memes in the 2000s. The line is associated with scouter power levels and spread widely through early video remixes, forum jokes and reaction clips. It is still used because the phrase instantly communicates extreme exaggeration, even to people who have never watched the series. It is often paired with Dragon Ball references, especially Goku Yelling, when creators want a louder escalation.
