Ron Burgundy yelling cannonball as he leaps into a pool in Anchorman, a short movie shout used for jump scares, dives and big entrance moments.

This is Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy shouting a single word, cannonball, at full volume just before launching himself into a swimming pool. The delivery is loud, confident and completely over the top, with the word stretched out as he jumps. It lasts under two seconds but lands like a punchline on its own. Viewers instantly picture the splash that follows, even without seeing the scene, which is why the clip works as a standalone reaction. It turns an ordinary jump, fall or arrival into a deliberately dramatic moment played entirely for laughs.

The clip comes from the 2004 comedy Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, starring Will Ferrell as a self-important San Diego news anchor. During a pool party scene Burgundy strips down and announces his jump with a triumphant cannonball yell before diving in. The moment became one of the film's most quoted gags and later circulated online as a short soundboard clip and meme reaction. Its lasting appeal is the pure confidence in the delivery, which creators still reuse whenever a jump needs instant comic weight.
