The iconic Meridia voice line from Skyrim, used in memes and edits when something suddenly feels dramatic, unavoidable or way louder than expected.

This sound is the famous booming line “A new hand touches the beacon” spoken by Meridia in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. It starts with a calm setup and then hits with an unexpectedly loud, echoing fantasy voice that instantly grabs attention. The clip is funny because it feels overly serious for normal situations, so creators use it to exaggerate minor discoveries, accidental interactions or moments when a game or task suddenly becomes far more intense than planned.

This quote comes from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, where the Daedric Prince Meridia speaks to the player after her beacon is found during the quest “The Break of Dawn.” Players widely remember the line because of its sudden volume and dramatic delivery. Over time it spread beyond Skyrim clips into meme edits, gaming compilations and reaction videos as a go-to sound for accidental discovery or a quest moment that feels way too intense.
