A dramatic cry from Akane in the Ranma ½ movie trailer reaction, calling out in a heartfelt moment that fans reuse for anime edits and reaction memes.

This short clip captures Akane Tendo crying out to Ranma during a custom reaction to the trailer for Ranma ½: Big Trouble in Nekonron, China. After a small startled scream, her voice rises into a clear, emotional call that sounds both urgent and affectionate, carrying the excitement of someone watching a beloved story unfold on screen. The delivery is theatrical without becoming silly, so it lands as a sincere shout rather than a joke on its own. In an edit, it instantly signals devotion, surprise, or dramatic longing, and it works best when the audience already knows the playful tension between Akane and Ranma.

The clip comes from a custom audience reaction to the trailer for Ranma ½: Big Trouble in Nekonron, China, the first Ranma ½ motion picture, rather than from the finished film itself. It was shared as part of a trailer-reaction recording associated with YouTube Radioplay Productions, with the moment centred on Akane Tendo's voice. Short reaction clips like this travel well on soundboards because they are easy to recognise without needing the full scene, and fans keep using this one to underline romantic tension, dramatic reveals, and nostalgic anime moments.

Who is Akane calling out to in the sound?

She is calling out to Ranma, the series' martial-arts protagonist and her fiancé in the story, whose changing form and rivalry with Akane drive much of the comedy and drama.

Place it at a reveal, reunion, or dramatic turning point, then hold on the reacting character's face for a beat so the emotion lands. It works well in anime edits, reaction videos, and romantic or nostalgic montages.
