About this sound

An extremely excited cheer sound used in celebration memes, success reveals, wholesome moments, and exaggerated happiness edits across TikTok and YouTube Shorts.

This clip is the short, squeaky "yippee" shout heard in countless meme edits and reaction posts. It has an excited, childlike tone that lands somewhere between pure joy and playful absurdity, which is why it works so well in ironic or wholesome content. Creators use it to punctuate tiny victories, weirdly proud moments, sudden bursts of happiness, or clips where a character looks unreasonably excited. Even on its own, the sound instantly changes the mood of a video and makes a scene feel more unserious, cute, and internet-coded.

Online, this sound became strongly associated with the Yippee cat and the autism creature meme, where the cheerful shout matches a simple, excited face. It spread through short edits, reaction posts, and reposts on video platforms, especially in clips built around awkward enthusiasm or ironic happiness. Its staying power comes from how fast and recognizable it is: one brief "yippee" can carry a whole joke. Creators still use it as a clean reaction cue alongside staples like vine boom when a scene needs a lighter, sillier payoff.
