About this sound

The viral 'Why are you running' meme sound from the famous interview clip, used in chase edits, panic jokes and videos where someone suddenly bolts away.

This clip features the instantly recognizable line "Why are you running?" delivered in a loud, confused, slightly frantic voice. It is short, direct and funny on its own, which is why creators use it as a punchline the moment someone panics, gets exposed or sprints off screen. The sound works best because the speaker sounds both genuinely concerned and unintentionally hilarious, turning even simple movement into a meme moment. In edits, it adds a sudden burst of energy and makes awkward escapes or overreactions feel much funnier.

This sound became widely known online through a viral interview clip often shared as the "Why are you running?" meme and later mislabeled by many users as a Vine audio. It spread across meme pages, reaction compilations, short-form edits and gaming videos because the line is instantly understandable even without context. The clip is still popular because it cleanly fits any moment where someone bolts, retreats or avoids consequences. It is often grouped with other fast reaction sounds like RUN vine or bruh in comedic edits.
