About this sound

Batman shouting "Where are they?" from The Dark Knight. People use this clip in memes, edits and reaction posts for frantic searching scenes.

This sound is the intense moment of Batman yelling "Where are they?" in a rough, angry voice. It is a very short clip, but the delivery is sharp and urgent, with that gritty Dark Knight tone people instantly recognize. The sound works as a dramatic reaction when someone is searching for answers, losing patience, or demanding to know what is going on. In edits and memes, it adds pressure and over-the-top seriousness, which makes ordinary situations feel bigger, darker, and more chaotic in a funny way.

This clip comes from Batman in The Dark Knight, the 2008 superhero film directed by Christopher Nolan, with Christian Bale as Batman. The shouted line spread online through soundboards, short meme edits, and reaction videos because its delivery is so intense and instantly recognizable. It is still used when creators want mock-serious urgency, especially for jokes about looking for a person, an object, or an answer in an exaggerated way.
