About this sound

Gigguk's frustrated quote calling out bad computer animation in anime, used by creators to mock cheap CGI in shows, games and video edits online.

This short clip captures anime YouTuber Gigguk delivering his now-infamous complaint that a scene is being attacked by bad CG, his voice rising with a mix of disbelief and comic exasperation. The line lands quickly and memorably, making it instantly recognisable to anime fans who have heard it quoted, clipped and replayed in reaction videos. Its humour comes from the bluntness of the complaint: instead of a technical critique, it sounds like a panicked warning about animation quality itself. Played over a jarring visual, it turns a disappointing effect into a punchline and signals to viewers that something on screen looks cheap, rushed or out of place.

The line comes from Gigguk, a long-running anime commentator known for sharply funny video essays about anime production, tropes and fandom. His remark about bad CG became a shorthand insult among anime viewers, who recognised the frustration of seeing hand-drawn scenes replaced by stiff, cheap-looking computer animation. Clipped from his videos and shared across reaction channels, Discord servers and short-form edits, it survived because the problem it names never went away. Whenever a new show leans too heavily on weak CGI, fans reach for this quote as an instant, knowing punchline.
