About this sound

The iconic Wario laugh from Nintendo games, used in memes, gaming edits and reaction clips to add a smug, mischievous punch.

This clip features Wario’s signature laugh, a raspy, exaggerated burst of villainous amusement associated with Nintendo’s greedy antihero. It sounds nasal, cocky and instantly cartoonish, with a playful mean streak that makes any moment feel more chaotic or self-satisfied. Creators use it to underline trolling, petty wins, cursed gameplay and over-the-top reactions. Even in a very short burst, the laugh signals that someone is being shameless, sneaky or obnoxiously proud, which is why it lands so well in gaming memes and joke edits.

Wario is a long-running Nintendo character known as a greedy, mischievous rival to Mario, and his laugh has appeared across multiple games and character voice performances. Online, short cuts of the laugh spread through gaming memes, reaction edits and parody videos because the sound instantly communicates smugness and comic villain energy. It remains popular in short-form edits for moments where a player cheats, flexes, steals a win or acts deliberately annoying in a funny way.
