About this sound

A short clip from Korn's song Twist, known for its frantic vocal noises. People use it in memes, chaos edits and sudden freak-out moments.

This sound is a clipped section from Korn's Twist, a very short burst of frantic, breathy vocal scatting and distorted nu metal energy. Instead of clear lyrics, it hits with fast ooh-ah noises that sound wild, twitchy and slightly unhinged. That makes it perfect for edits where a scene suddenly goes off the rails. The clip feels tense, chaotic and funny at the same time, so viewers usually read it as a cue that someone's brain just short-circuited or the video has entered full meltdown mode.

Twist is a song by Korn from the 1996 album Life Is Peachy. The track became memorable for Jonathan Davis's rapid scat-style vocal intro and its aggressive nu metal sound. Online, short cuts of that opening spread in meme edits and reaction videos because the noises instantly signal panic, chaos or something deeply cursed. It still gets used years later because the clip is brief, recognizable and easy to match with abrupt visual breakdowns or exaggerated reactions.
