About this sound

The sharp Among Us tongue kill sound from the impostor attack animation, often used in gaming edits, sus memes and sudden betrayal clips.

This clip is the quick, stabbing sound tied to the impostor tongue kill animation in Among Us. It lands fast, with a sharp hit that feels sudden, sneaky and a little ridiculous at the same time. Because players instantly recognise the attack, the sound works well as a punchline for betrayals, backstabs and hard cuts where someone gets exposed. Even without the full animation, it gives a scene that unmistakable Among Us vibe and adds a tense, comedic shock that viewers connect with sus jokes and elimination memes.

This sound comes from Among Us, the social deduction game by InnerSloth that surged in popularity in 2020 through streams, memes and short-form videos. The tongue kill animation became one of the game's most recognisable attack moments, so its audio spread beyond gameplay clips into reaction edits and betrayal jokes. It is still used because the sound is brief, instantly readable and strongly tied to the idea of someone being caught, fooled or taken out in a single beat.
