About this sound

A short meme remix pairing Jason Derulo's 2017 song Swalla with CupcakKe's exaggerated gulp vocals, used for chaotic edits and comic punchlines.

This short audio combines the recognizable rhythm and hook of “Swalla” with an exaggerated CupcakKe vocal sample built around repeated gulping sounds. The contrast between the polished pop track and the abrupt, suggestive ad-libs gives the clip its chaotic meme energy. It works like a musical punchline: viewers recognize the song before the altered vocals interrupt it. Creators often use the remix to make dance clips, dramatic reveals, awkward reactions, or seemingly innocent scenes suddenly feel absurd and intentionally over-the-top.

“Swalla” was released by Jason Derulo in 2017 and features Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla Sign. This clip belongs to the fan-made CupcakKe remix tradition, where editors replace or interrupt familiar song vocals with recognizable samples from the rapper’s music. These edits spread widely through short videos, remix compilations, and social media posts because the unexpected vocal switches create immediate comedic contrast. The exact creator of this particular edit is unclear, but the format remains popular for beat-synced jokes and deliberately chaotic transitions.
