About this sound

A short Toyota Supra exhaust recording with rapid, gunshot-like pops, used in car edits, racing clips, and memes needing an aggressive engine burst.

This clip captures a Supra exhaust producing a hard engine note followed by rapid, gunshot-like pops. The brief burst sounds mechanical, sharp, and unusually loud, giving the impression of a tuned performance car accelerating or revving under load. Its fast sequence of cracks adds instant intensity without needing dialogue or music. In an edit, it can make a vehicle reveal feel more powerful, turn an ordinary transition into a punchline, or exaggerate a dramatic arrival for comic effect in short-form videos.

The exact recording source and Supra generation are not confirmed, but the clip is built around the recognizable sound of a tuned Toyota Supra exhaust. Short recordings of revs, backfires, and rapid exhaust cracks became common in automotive edits and meme videos because they deliver immediate impact. This version is often described as a gun exhaust sound due to its closely spaced, shot-like pops. It remains useful for car reveals, racing montages, reaction edits, and exaggerated jokes about high-performance vehicles.

What is the Supra exhaust sound?

It is a short recording of a Toyota Supra-style exhaust note followed by several sharp, rapid pops. The cracks resemble gunshots, which is why the clip is commonly described as a gun exhaust sound.

Why does the Supra exhaust sound like gunshots?

Modified performance exhausts can produce loud pops or backfire-like cracks when unburned fuel ignites in the exhaust system. In this clip, the closely spaced bursts create the exaggerated gunshot-like effect associated with tuned car edits.

Creators commonly place it over car reveals, acceleration shots, gear changes, racing gameplay, and dramatic entrances. The sharp pops also work as a comedic contrast when added to slow or unimpressive vehicles.
