About this sound

The iconic Roundabout sting from Yes, best known from JoJo-style To Be Continued meme edits used right before a fail, reveal or abrupt cutoff.

This clip is the recognizable ending sting from Roundabout by the band Yes, the musical cue widely used with the To Be Continued meme. It usually features the bright, dramatic guitar section that lands right as a video cuts off. The sound feels sudden, playful and a little triumphant, which makes it perfect for freezing a chaotic moment at exactly the worst possible time. Viewers instantly read it as a setup for an unfinished joke, an incoming consequence or a perfectly timed cliffhanger.

Roundabout is a 1971 song by the British progressive rock band Yes. Online, one section of the track became strongly associated with the To Be Continued gag because it was used as the ending cue in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure adaptations, then spread through short meme edits on YouTube and social platforms. Its popularity lasted because the timing is instantly readable: the music signals that a clip is stopping at the funniest possible moment, usually right before payoff or disaster.
