About this sound

The iconic Rayquaza cry from Pokemon games, used in edits, battle memes and legendary reveal clips when creators want a sharp, powerful creature sound.

This clip is Rayquaza's unmistakable Pokemon cry, a short electronic roar with a piercing, serpentine tone that feels both ancient and powerful. It starts sharp, then bends into a synthetic screech that instantly signals a legendary monster entrance. Even in under two seconds, it adds tension and scale, making a moment feel bigger than it really is. People use it in gaming edits, Pokemon content, reaction posts and dramatic reveals where they want an intense creature sound tied to one of the franchise's most recognisable legendaries.

Rayquaza is a legendary Pokemon introduced in the main series games' Hoenn era, and its cry became familiar to players through battle screens, encounters and later appearances across Pokemon media. Online, the sound spread through Pokemon edits, matchup videos and short meme clips that use the cry as a fast way to signal power, rarity or a sky-dragon reveal. It still gets reused because the audio is brief, instantly recognisable to fans and dramatic enough to sell a legendary entrance without needing any extra setup.
