About this sound

Short Russian meme voice clip saying “Poka vy lezhite na divane,” used in edits and jokes about laziness, procrastination, and people doing nothing.

This sound is a very short Russian speech clip built around the phrase “Poka vy lezhite na divane,” which translates roughly to “While you are lying on the couch.” It has the sharp, pointed feel of a setup line, so even in a tiny snippet it sounds judgmental, dramatic, or sarcastically motivational. Creators use it to call out laziness, contrast effort versus idleness, or set up a punchline before showing someone relaxing, scrolling, or avoiding work. The effect is instant and familiar, especially in short meme edits.

This clip is mainly shared online as a short Russian meme sound rather than for a widely recognized film or TV origin. It spreads in short-form edits, reposts, and soundboards because the phrase instantly suggests laziness or missed opportunities. Its staying power comes from how flexible it is: creators can drop it before videos of napping, scrolling, skipping chores, or avoiding responsibilities. The line works across languages too, since the visual joke usually makes the meaning clear even if viewers do not speak Russian.
