About this sound

A prolonged Peter Griffin ahhhhh scream from Family Guy, used in memes and edits to punctuate panic, pain, chaos, or an over-the-top reaction.

This clip captures Peter Griffin releasing a long, exaggerated “ahhhhh” scream associated with his chaotic reactions in Family Guy. The vocal starts loudly and continues for several seconds, giving editors enough time to stretch a moment of panic, pain, or ridiculous failure. Its cartoon delivery makes the reaction feel absurd rather than genuinely frightening. When placed after a sudden mistake or unexpected reveal, the sustained cry turns the scene into a dramatic meltdown and keeps the joke going well beyond a normal scream.

Peter Griffin is the central character of Family Guy, an animated television comedy created by Seth MacFarlane that premiered in 1999. MacFarlane voices Peter, whose loud cries, arguments, and physical-comedy reactions frequently drive the show’s jokes. This clip is circulated online as a standalone Peter Griffin scream rather than being tied reliably to a specific episode. Its sustained delivery works well in short videos because creators can synchronize it with falls, game failures, abrupt zooms, and escalating disasters while retaining the recognizable Family Guy style.
