About this sound

✦ AI

A perfectly cut Perc40 type beat boosted to ear-splitting levels with heavy 808s, used on TikTok for spam edits, jump cuts and loud meme posts.

This is a short Perc40 style instrumental loop built around pounding 808s and sharp percussion, cut cleanly so it loops or lands without a gap. The bass boosting pushes the low end far past normal levels, turning the beat into a distorted, earrape-style blast that clips and rattles on phone speakers. It is not meant to sound polished or musical in a subtle way. The impact comes from sheer volume and suddenness, which makes a normal clip feel chaotic, funny or deliberately annoying the moment the beat drops in at full force.

Perc40 type beats spread through TikTok audio culture as short, hard-hitting production loops named for their punchy percussion style and heavy 808 patterns. Bass boosted and earrape edits became a separate meme format on the platform, where creators deliberately pushed familiar beats to extreme volume for spam posts and reaction bait. This cut version follows that pattern, trimmed for instant playback and sharing. It stays popular because the joke is immediate, works without context, and turns any low-energy clip into something impossible to ignore while scrolling.

Frequently Asked Questions

✦ AI

What is the Perc40 type beat sound?

It is a short, perfectly cut instrumental loop in the Perc40 style, built on heavy 808s and sharp percussion. This version is bass boosted to extreme volume, so it plays as a loud, distorted earrape-style clip rather than a clean beat.

Why is this sound so loud?

The loudness is intentional and part of the meme format. Bass boosting pushes the 808s and overall level into distortion, creating a clipping, rattling effect that startles listeners, especially on headphones, and makes the drop feel much bigger than a normal mix.

How do people use it on TikTok?

Creators drop it on reveals, fails and punchlines, or spam it repeatedly in chaotic edits for comic shock. Because the cut is clean and immediate, it works as a standalone post, a transition hit, or a prank sound sent to friends.
