About this sound

A short osu! hit sound from the rhythm game, used in edits, gameplay memes, and click-heavy clips to mimic a timed tap or scoring cue.

This clip is a very short osu! hit sound, the kind of crisp tap noise players hear when they strike a note in time. It has a clean, light click with a gamey, precise feel that instantly suggests rhythm gameplay and fast mouse or keyboard input. Because it is under a second long, creators often use it as a quick punctuation sound in montages, score popups, reaction edits, and UI jokes. The effect on a viewer is snappy and satisfying, like a perfect input landing exactly when it should.

This sound is associated with osu!, the rhythm game released for PC in 2007. Players know it as one of the short feedback sounds tied to hitting notes, and clips like this spread beyond the game through gameplay videos, streams, and meme edits. It remains popular because the sound is instantly readable even in very short form: one tap tells the audience that an action was precise, timed, or game-like. Online, it often appears alongside other game feedback sounds such as Roblox oof in humorous crossover edits.
