About this sound

The viral clip of a man saying “My name is Uvuvwevwe Onyetenyevwe Ugwemuhwem Osas,” used in memes, reaction edits and awkward intro jokes.

This sound is the famous viral name introduction where a speaker calmly says, “My name is Uvuvwevwe Onyetenyevwe Ugwemuhwem Osas.” The humor comes from the length, rhythm and confidence of the delivery, especially for viewers hearing it for the first time. It lands as a perfect setup for confusion, disbelief or a sudden hard cut to reactions. Creators use it when they want an over-the-top introduction, a memorable roll call moment, or a joke about names that seem impossible to repeat correctly.

This sound became widely shared online as a viral name meme centered on the line “My name is Uvuvwevwe Onyetenyevwe Ugwemuhwem Osas.” It spread through reposts, short meme edits and reaction compilations across social platforms, where the unusual cadence made it instantly recognizable. People still use it because the clip works without much setup: a basic question, the long name, then a confused pause or visual reaction. Its staying power comes from how easy it is to drop into skits about introductions, identity and social awkwardness.
