About this sound

A short evil laugh meme sound that goes "muhahahahaha." People use it in edits, fails and villain jokes to make a moment feel smug or over-the-top.

This clip is a brief, exaggerated evil laugh that sounds like a classic cartoon villain enjoying their own chaos. The drawn-out "muhahahahaha" delivery gives it a playful, smug tone rather than anything genuinely scary, which is why it works so well in memes. It instantly tells viewers that someone thinks they have won, pulled off a prank or is acting dramatically evil for comedy. Because it is so short, creators can drop it right on a reaction shot or reveal without interrupting the pace of the edit.

This sound is commonly shared online as a generic evil laugh reaction rather than as a clearly sourced quote from one famous scene. Short villain-style laughs like this spread well on meme pages, group chats and video edits because the joke is instantly recognizable without any setup. Creators keep using it when they want to frame a person, pet or character as comically devious for a second. Its staying power comes from how flexible it is in prank edits, gaming moments and exaggerated reaction posts.
