About this sound

A slowed down fart meme sound, often labeled in Russian as a brain fart. People use it in fail edits, awkward pauses, and dumb idea punchlines.

This clip is a stretched, slowed fart sound used as a comic reaction when someone blanks out, says something foolish, or has an obviously bad idea. The slowdown gives it a heavier, more dramatic feel than a quick gag fart, so it lands like a delayed mental crash instead of a simple toilet joke. In videos, it usually turns a silent stare, bad decision, or failed explanation into a blunt punchline. The result is goofy, awkward, and intentionally lowbrow in the exact way many meme edits aim for.

This sound is commonly shared online under the Russian label "Мозговой пердеж замедлился," which roughly means a slowed brain fart. Its exact original source is unclear, so it is best understood as an internet reaction clip rather than a quote from a known film or show. The slowed version spread because it exaggerates the pause before a mistake or realization, making simple edits feel more dramatic. It sits in the same family of blunt meme reactions as fart with reverb and long brain fart, both used for silly impact.
