About this sound

The dramatic Long Long Man jingle from the Japanese Sakeru Gummy ads, used in memes, reveals and absurdly over-the-top romantic edit jokes.

This clip is the memorable "Long Long Man" vocal sting from the Japanese Sakeru Gummy commercial series. It starts like a smooth, dramatic ad cue, then stretches the phrase in a hilariously intense way that makes even a simple moment feel huge and suspiciously romantic. The sound works because it instantly signals an overblown reveal, a lingering stare, or a joke about someone appearing out of nowhere with too much dramatic presence. Viewers usually recognize it as a cue for tension, attraction, or a ridiculous plot twist played completely straight.

Long Long Man comes from a Japanese advertising campaign for Sakeru Gummy, a stretchable candy brand. The ad series became widely shared online because of its melodramatic storytelling and the unforgettable way the phrase is sung. Outside Japan, the commercials spread through subtitled uploads, reaction videos, and meme edits. The sound remains popular because it can instantly turn a normal reveal into something absurdly serious, romantic, or ominous without needing much setup.
