About this sound

A short canned laugh track clip used like a sitcom audience reaction. People add it after awkward jokes, fails, or sarcastic punchlines in meme edits.

This sound is a brief burst of canned audience laughter, the kind of laugh track you hear after a joke in older sitcoms and comedy edits. It has that instantly recognizable fake crowd reaction that turns a moment from plain to intentionally awkward or sarcastic. Because the clip is short and punchy, it works well as a button at the end of a line, fail, or deadpan stare. The effect on viewers is usually ironic: it tells them a moment is supposed to be funny, even when the humor comes from how forced the laughter sounds.

This clip appears to be used online as a general laugh track reaction sound rather than as a clearly documented quote from a specific show or character. Short canned laughter clips have circulated for years in meme edits, remixes, and reaction videos because they instantly signal sarcasm, cringe, or forced comedy. Creators still use a laugh track reaction when they want a scene to feel like a staged sitcom moment, especially after an awkward statement or a joke that is intentionally unfunny.
