About this sound

Jotaro's time stop and resume audio from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, used in edits, anime memes and dramatic freeze-frame moments.

This clip captures Jotaro Kujo's iconic time-stop cue and the sharp sense of motion pausing before reality snaps back into place. It is a short anime sound with a tense, supernatural feel that instantly signals frozen time, overpowering confidence and a sudden reversal. In edits, it works like a dramatic punctuation mark: everything halts for a beat, then resumes with extra impact. Viewers recognize it as a classic JoJo moment, so even a very short use can make a scene feel more intense, stylish and knowingly over-the-top.

This sound is associated with Jotaro Kujo from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, where his Stand ability lets him stop time for a brief moment. The effect became widely reused in anime edits, versus clips and meme videos because audiences instantly understand the visual joke of everything freezing. It remains popular thanks to JoJo's strong meme culture and the larger family of JoJo reaction sounds, including Za Warudo and the famous To be Continued ending gag.
