About this sound

The viral John Cena "Bing Chilling" clip from his Mandarin ice cream promo, used in memes, ironic edits and sudden cutaway jokes online.

This sound is the famous John Cena “Bing Chilling” clip, taken from a short video where he speaks Mandarin and holds up an ice cream. The delivery is calm, cheerful and slightly awkward out of context, which is exactly why it lands so well as a meme. People use it as a sudden punchline, a fake serious reveal or an absurd interruption in edits. Even without the full video, the phrase is instantly recognisable and tends to make a scene feel more random, ironic and internet-brained.

The “Bing Chilling” meme comes from a 2021 promotional video featuring John Cena speaking Mandarin while holding an ice cream. Online, viewers clipped the “bing qi lin” moment and turned it into a standalone audio joke. It spread widely across YouTube, TikTok and meme edits because the delivery sounds oddly formal and cheerful when removed from its original context. The clip is still used as a surprise punchline, especially in ironic edits, language jokes and sudden cutaway memes.
