About this sound

Inosuke calls Tanjiro "Kamaboko Gonpachiro" in this Demon Slayer voice clip, used for anime edits, character jokes, and deliberate name mix-ups.

This short voice clip captures Inosuke Hashibira addressing Tanjiro Kamado as “Kamaboko Gonpachiro” instead of using his real name. His loud, forceful delivery makes the incorrect name sound hilariously confident, turning a simple mistake into a memorable character gag. The audio works especially well when someone forgets a name, introduces a friend incorrectly, or speaks with misplaced certainty. For Demon Slayer viewers, it instantly recalls Inosuke’s competitive personality and his recurring inability to remember Tanjiro’s name correctly.

The line comes from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and is spoken by Inosuke Hashibira, who repeatedly struggles to remember Tanjiro Kamado’s name. “Kamaboko Gonpachiro” is one of the incorrect names he uses, and the contrast between his certainty and obvious mistake made it a recognizable running joke among fans. Clips of the exchange spread through anime compilations, reaction videos, short-form edits, and fan posts. It remains popular because the phrase is distinctive, easy to recognize, and useful whenever a creator needs an intentionally wrong name.
