About this sound

Eric Cartman's “I'm going home” line from South Park, used in memes and reaction edits to signal a dramatic exit, annoyed retreat, or instant refusal.

This short voice clip captures Eric Cartman declaring that he is going home, a familiar expression of the character’s impatience and self-centered frustration in South Park. His distinctive delivery makes the line feel childish, irritated, and final at the same time. The abrupt statement works as an audio punchline because it turns any inconvenience, disagreement, or failed plan into grounds for an immediate exit. Viewers instantly understand the mood: Cartman has had enough, refuses to cooperate, and is leaving on his own terms.

Eric Cartman is a central character in South Park, the animated television series created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone that premiered in 1997. Voiced by Parker, Cartman became closely associated with the longer catchphrase “Screw you guys, I’m going home,” especially during the show’s earlier years. Shortened versions of the line later circulated through soundboards, video edits, and reaction memes. It remains useful because the meaning is immediate, while Cartman’s petulant delivery gives an ordinary departure a sharply comedic edge.
