About this sound

The Ignore the Intro burp is a three-second bodily-noise clip shared online, used to punctuate awkward pauses, gross-out jokes, pranks, and reaction edits.

This short clip delivers an exaggerated burp with the blunt, messy quality of a classic bodily-noise gag. The sound lasts just under three seconds, leaving enough room for the rumble to register without slowing down an edit. Its rough comic tone can make an ordinary pause feel embarrassing, childish, or deliberately disgusting. Because the effect is immediate and easy to understand, it works especially well when a person opens their mouth, finishes eating, interrupts a serious moment, or reacts to something unpleasant on screen.

The original recording source, performer, and date for this clip are not documented. It circulates under the user-generated name “Ignore the Intro” Burp and follows a long-running style of short bodily-noise effects used in online edits and soundboards. Burps remain useful because they communicate rude humor instantly, even without dialogue or context. Creators often group clips like this with a Fart Meme Sound, using either effect to undercut serious scenes, exaggerate embarrassment, or build simple prank sequences.
