About this sound

The classic John Cena announcement meme sound from WWE, used for sudden reveals, hard cuts and punchlines when someone or something appears out of nowhere.

This clip is the famous “And his name is John Cena” announcement sting, followed by the loud, dramatic music hit associated with the meme. It starts with a sharp voice line and instantly crashes into an over-the-top musical burst, which makes any cut feel bigger, sillier and more unexpected. The sound works because it interrupts whatever came before it and turns an ordinary reveal into a joke. Viewers usually recognize it immediately, so even a simple image change or zoom can land as a punchline.

This sound comes from WWE and is built around wrestler John Cena’s entrance announcement and theme. It became a major internet meme in the mid-2010s, especially in bait-and-switch videos where a normal clip suddenly cuts to the loud reveal. The joke spread widely through Vine, YouTube compilations and short meme edits because the timing is simple and the payoff is immediate. It is still used when creators want a recognizable surprise reveal, similar to a quick bruh reaction or other abrupt meme stings.
