About this sound

A clipped Markiplier intro meme based on his classic YouTube opening. People use it for awkward edits, fake introductions, and sudden comedic cutaways.

This sound is a short meme clip of Markiplier’s familiar opening style, edited into the odd phrase “Hello everybody, my name is welcome.” The humor comes from hearing a well-known intro twisted into something slightly wrong and unexpectedly stiff. It lands best as a quick interruption, especially when a video needs a goofy reset or a deliberately awkward opening. Because the line is instantly recognizable to many viewers, it works as both a creator reference and a general reaction sound for moments that feel chaotic, offbeat, or intentionally low-polish.

This clip riffs on Markiplier’s famous YouTube intro, where he greets viewers at the start of videos. The meme version swaps in the strange wording “my name is welcome,” turning a familiar creator catchphrase into a misheard or deliberately broken line. It spread in short edits and reposts because the mistake is easy to recognize and funny even out of context. The sound still gets used for parody intros, creator jokes, and abrupt transitions that need a recognizable internet voice.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the "Hello everybody my name is welcome" sound?

It is a meme edit of Markiplier’s well-known video intro style, altered so the greeting becomes the odd phrase “my name is welcome.” The joke comes from twisting a familiar opening into something awkward and wrong on purpose.

Where is this sound from?

It is based on Markiplier’s long-running YouTube intro greeting. Rather than a standard quote, this version is a meme remix or misphrased edit that circulates in short videos, soundboards, and parody edits.

How do people use this Markiplier sound in edits?

Creators usually drop it at the start of a fake introduction, after a sudden cut, or before an intentionally awkward reveal. It works best when the visual setup is simple, letting the weird phrasing deliver the joke by itself.
