About this sound

The Fortnite SCAR sound effect captures the familiar assault rifle audio from Battle Royale, often used in gameplay edits, memes, and weapon comparisons.

This clip features the recognizable sound of the SCAR-style assault rifle from Fortnite. Its sharp, rapid gunfire has the punchy character players associate with intense Battle Royale encounters and high-rarity weapon finds. The audio immediately suggests close combat, accurate shots, and the pressure of a late-game fight. In videos, it can make a weapon reveal feel more dramatic, add authentic game audio to a montage, or turn an ordinary cut into a playful Fortnite reference. The six-second length also provides enough room for a short burst or action sequence.

Fortnite Battle Royale launched in 2017, and players commonly used the name SCAR for higher-rarity versions of its classic Assault Rifle because of the weapon model’s appearance. The gun became closely associated with valuable loot, dependable accuracy, and memorable fights. Its audio later spread beyond raw gameplay through montages, weapon comparisons, nostalgic clips, and gaming memes. The sound remains useful because longtime players can quickly connect it with Fortnite combat and the excitement of finding a powerful assault rifle.
