About this sound

A short meme clip of a hippo farting and pooping, often used in reaction edits, gross-out jokes, and animal meme posts online.

This sound is a brief, chaotic clip built around a hippo letting out a loud, messy fart while pooping. The combination of splattery impact noise, low animal grunts, and the sheer absurdity makes it instantly funny in a crude, unexpected way. It lands as a perfect gross-out punchline, especially when a video suddenly cuts from something serious to total nonsense. Viewers usually react because it feels so over-the-top and awkward that it becomes hilarious, making it a natural fit for goofy meme edits and reaction posts.

This clip is best known as a viral animal meme sound rather than a widely credited film or TV quote. It spread through reposted short videos, GIF searches, and meme edits focused on a hippo farting and pooping at the same time. Creators keep using it because the sound is immediate, visual even without context, and absurd enough to work as a reaction punchline. It often appears in compilations of goofy animal clips and sits in the same broad meme lane as goofy ahh sounds and fart with reverb.
