About this sound

The iconic Formula 1 intro music sting, used in F1 broadcasts since 2018. People add it to race edits, podium jokes and fast-paced sports clips.

This clip is the short, instantly recognisable Formula 1 theme sting, built around bold brass, pounding drums and a dramatic sports-broadcast feel. Even in a few seconds, it sounds fast, expensive and high stakes, like the start of a Grand Prix weekend. Creators use it to make any moment feel official, competitive or ridiculously intense, especially when showing speed, overtakes, countdowns or mock championship introductions. It works because viewers already connect the sound with elite motorsport, so the clip adds urgency and prestige almost immediately.

The Formula 1 theme was composed by Brian Tyler and introduced in 2018, when Formula One Management refreshed the sport's presentation after Liberty Media's takeover. It quickly became part of TV intros, podium-related edits and race weekend content across social platforms. The short sting is especially popular because it signals top-tier motorsport in seconds, even outside actual F1 footage. Online, it often appears in parody intros, highlight edits and clips that need the same kind of dramatic build as crowd cheering at a major sporting event.
