About this sound

ED-E's battle music is the brief combat cue associated with the robotic companion in Fallout: New Vegas, often used to signal danger or a sudden fight.

This clip captures the short musical cue linked to ED-E entering combat in Fallout: New Vegas. The bright, brassy burst has the character of an old-fashioned military fanfare, sharply contrasting with the game's harsh wasteland setting. Its sudden entrance tells the player that the floating eyebot has detected a threat, sometimes before the enemy is visible. That combination of warning, surprise, and retro style makes the audio effective for edits in which a calm scene instantly turns dangerous, competitive, or chaotic.

ED-E is a floating eyebot companion in the 2010 role-playing game Fallout: New Vegas, developed by Obsidian Entertainment. The robot can accompany the player across the Mojave Wasteland and alert them when hostile characters are nearby. Its distinctive combat cue became memorable because it can interrupt quiet exploration before the player has identified the danger. Fans continue using the brief musical sting in Fallout videos, gameplay compilations, and humorous edits that recreate the feeling of an unseen encounter suddenly beginning.
