About this sound

The famous “con los terroristas” line from Delfín Quishpe’s viral Torres Gemelas song, used in memes, reaction edits and dramatic Spanish shitposts.

This clip features the instantly recognisable Spanish line “con los terroristas,” delivered with exaggerated emotion in a way that sounds serious, confused and unintentionally funny at the same time. The drawn-out phrasing gives it a chaotic, melodramatic feel that makes even simple edits sound absurdly overblown. In memes, creators use it as a punchline when something minor is framed like a huge tragedy or when a video suddenly takes a bizarre, dramatic turn. Its humor comes from the contrast between the intense delivery and the often ridiculous context around it.

The phrase became widely known from “Torres Gemelas,” a viral song by Ecuadorian singer Delfín Quishpe that spread heavily online in the mid-2000s. One of its most quoted moments is “con los terroristas,” which internet users clipped and reused far beyond the original music video. The line stayed popular in Spanish-speaking meme culture because its delivery is so intense and memorable. It still appears in reaction edits, ironic compilations and nostalgic reposts tied to early viral internet humor.
