About this sound

The piercing roar of the Cleric Beast from Bloodborne, used in memes, jump cuts and gaming edits to signal panic, danger or a boss fight moment.

This clip is the shrill, monstrous scream of the Cleric Beast, one of Bloodborne's earliest and most memorable bosses. It starts with a raw, animal-like shriek that feels sudden, violent and overpowering, making it perfect for edits that need instant tension. The sound lands somewhere between a roar and a nightmare cry, so viewers usually read it as a warning, a scare cue or a dramatic reveal. Even in short meme clips, it gives scenes a gothic horror punch and makes ordinary moments feel unexpectedly intense.

The Cleric Beast is a boss from Bloodborne, the 2015 action RPG released for PlayStation 4. Its scream became memorable because many players first heard it during the game's early bridge encounter, where the audio helps sell the shock and scale of the fight. Online, the clip spread through gaming memes, boss edit videos and reaction posts that exaggerate fear or chaos. It is still used because the scream is instantly dramatic, even for viewers who only vaguely recognize Bloodborne.
