About this sound

A slowed version of Circus Baby's high-pitched scream from her Five Nights at Freddy's minigame, used for horror edits, jumpscare reactions and meme moments.

This fourteen-second clip stretches Circus Baby's sharp, childlike scream from her minigame into something slower, deeper and far more unsettling. The familiar high-pitched shriek drags out, its pitch dropping and warping as it lingers, turning a sudden fright into a drawn-out, dread-filled wail. Instead of a quick shock, the slowed version creates a creeping sense of wrongness, as if the animatronic voice is breaking down or calling out from somewhere far away. It works best when the tension needs to build rather than burst, leaving viewers uneasy long after the sound fades.

Circus Baby is the animatronic star of Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location, where her sweet, childlike voice makes her unsettling presence even more disturbing. Her minigame scream has been shared by fans as a standalone clip, and slowed-down versions have since spread through horror edits, reaction videos and soundboards. Slowing the scream changes its impact completely, turning a brief shock into a lingering, distorted cry that suits creepypasta-style videos, FNAF theories and Halloween edits, which is why creators keep returning to it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Circus Baby's minigame scream?

It is a high-pitched, childlike scream associated with Circus Baby, the animatronic character from Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location. This version is slowed down, making the scream longer, lower and more distorted than the original clip.

Why is the slowed version popular in horror edits?

Slowing the scream stretches the tension and makes a familiar FNAF sound feel stranger and more unsettling. Creators use it to build dread before a jumpscare, reveal or creepy moment instead of relying on a sudden loud noise alone.

How can I use this sound in a video?

Place it just before a scare or reveal, keep the surrounding audio quiet so the distorted scream stands out, and cut it off at the visual change. It works well in FNAF edits, Halloween videos and reaction clips.
