About this sound

The cheerful capture sound from Pokémon became a meme sound for wins, lucky moments, and ironic success jokes, often used when someone finally achieves something small.

This clip is the familiar victory jingle that plays when a Pokémon is successfully caught in the games. It is a short, upbeat musical cue with a bright, triumphant feel that instantly signals success and completion. Even at just a few seconds long, it gives a clean payoff after tension, making a moment feel rewarding and official. Viewers recognize it as a classic gaming sound for finally securing something hard to get, whether that is a rare item, a lucky break, or a satisfying personal win.

This sound is the Pokémon capture fanfare associated with catching a Pokémon in the main game series, with music credited here to Jun'ichi Masuda. The cue became widely recognizable through years of repeated use across Pokémon titles and gameplay videos online. It still shows up in edits because the meaning is instantly clear even without visuals: something was successfully collected, secured, or obtained. That simple success signal makes it useful far beyond Pokémon clips, especially in short gaming posts and reaction edits.
