About this sound

A fart-sound remix of the saxophone melody from George Michael's Careless Whisper, used for awkward reveals, failed romance, and comic edits.

This comedy clip turns the famously smooth Careless Whisper melody into a deliberately crude fart rendition. The recognizable tune remains clear, but its romantic saxophone mood is replaced by exaggerated flatulent notes. That contrast makes the audio work as both a musical parody and a punchline, especially when a scene begins seriously before becoming ridiculous. Its roughly sixteen-second length provides enough time for viewers to recognize the melody and anticipate the joke, while the uneven, bodily tone gives failed seduction scenes and embarrassing moments an absurd finish.

Careless Whisper was co-written by George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley and released in 1984, becoming closely associated with its prominent saxophone riff. The exact creator and first appearance of this fart edition are not established. It belongs to a broad online remix tradition that recreates familiar melodies with comic bodily noises. The joke remains effective because audiences quickly recognize the original song’s romantic tone, making the crude substitution an immediate and easily understood contrast in memes, reaction videos, and parody edits.
