About this sound

A sharp “Behind you, imbecile!” voice line from Resident Evil 4, used in gaming edits to warn of an enemy, mock a missed threat, or spring a surprise.

This short Resident Evil 4 voice clip delivers the warning “Behind you, imbecile!” with theatrical urgency and open contempt. The forceful delivery turns a simple alert into a memorable insult, making the line work equally well as a genuine warning or a sarcastic reaction. Its sudden phrasing creates immediate tension, while the final word adds a comic sting. In videos and streams, the audio can make an approaching enemy feel more dramatic, expose someone who missed an obvious danger, or set up a fast reveal lurking just outside the frame.

The line comes from Resident Evil 4, the survival horror game originally released in 2005. Its dramatic voice acting and confrontational dialogue helped many short quotations remain recognizable beyond ordinary gameplay. This clip circulates in gaming videos, reaction edits, streams, and soundboards because it combines a useful warning with a blunt insult. It remains effective in modern edits because viewers understand the setup instantly: someone is focused forward while a danger, opponent, or joke reveal waits behind them.
