About this sound

A short Beavis and Butt-Head clip of Beavis saying "boing," used in memes and edits to signal a goofy, horny or sudden cartoon reaction.

This clip is a quick vocal gag of Beavis saying “boing” in his signature nasal, immature delivery. It lands like a cartoon spring sound done as speech, which makes it funny without needing a big setup. The sound is usually used as a punchline when someone sees something attractive, ridiculous or unexpectedly exciting. Because it is so short, it works well as a reaction stinger in memes, gaming edits and lowbrow comedy posts where a childish, awkward response is exactly the joke.

This sound comes from Beavis, the teenage character from Beavis and Butt-Head, the animated TV series created by Mike Judge in the 1990s. Short Beavis reaction clips spread easily online because his voice is instantly recognizable and already tied to immature humor. The “boing” delivery keeps showing up in GIF captions, short meme edits and reaction compilations because it communicates a dumb, impulsive attraction joke in under a second.
